What We Like

  • Adds a thin layer of protection without adding a lot of bulk
  • Protects against scratches from bouncing around in your pocket with your keys
  • USB-C plug keeps the port from getting clogged up with pocket lint
  • Comes with a really nice looking little cleaning tool, with a tip for cleaning down into the case
  • The top is attached, so even if it comes loose, it's not going to get lost
  • Available in a variety of different colors

What Could Improve

  • It holds the AirPods up off a wireless charger a little bit, so it charges slower
  • With these types of cases, I fear that pulling them in and out of your pocket can kind of get them caught, so you might have to realign it from time to time

This black silicone case adds a thin layer of protection to your AirPods 5 without adding a lot of bulk. It protects them from the scratches that come from bouncing around in your pocket, up against your keys, and being dropped in all sorts of ways.

Design and Fit

These cases are available in a variety of different colors. The silicone case is easy to attach, and the top is attached to the case, so even if the top was to kind of come disconnected, it’s not going to get lost.

The only thing I fear with these types of cases is that pulling them in and out of your pocket has the opportunity to kind of get caught, and you might end up having to realign your case from time to time.

USB-C Plug

One of the things I really like about it is the USB-C plug down at the bottom. It protects the USB-C port from getting clogged up with pocket lint. With wireless charging, it’s not often that I’m plugging my AirPods in anyway.

Cleaning Tool

It also comes with a really nice looking little cleaning tool so you can keep your AirPods clean, plus a cleaning tip for going down into the case, where little bits can build up and affect the charging performance of your AirPods.

Wireless Charging

The only thing I don’t like about this case is that it holds the AirPods up a little bit when I put them on a wireless charger. It still charges wirelessly, but it charges slower, because the case is holding the AirPods up off the wireless charger. That’s one of the downsides of this silicone case. But overall, it does a great job of protecting your AirPods.

The only thing I don't like is that it holds the AirPods up off a wireless charger a little bit, so it still charges wirelessly, just slower. And with these types of cases, I fear that pulling them in and out of your pocket can kind of get them caught, and you might end up having to realign it from time to time.
