SUPCASE UB Pro AirPods 5 Case Review
It adds a ton of protection to your AirPods 5. It does add a bit of bulk and it's overkill for most people, but if you've ever lost AirPods to water damage, this is the case.

The SUPCASE UB Pro adds a ton of protection to your AirPods 5. It does add a bit of bulk, but I could take this and throw it against a wall, and the AirPods are going to be just fine.
Two Layers of Security
This case has a ton going on. Not only does it have a latch to open it, it also has an additional latch to keep it from accidentally popping open. This case isn’t going to open on its own as it is. If I drop it, it’s not going to pop open. But if somehow it did, there’s the additional latch. You can press the button all day long and it’s not going to open. That’s two layers of security protecting your AirPods from flying and sending each AirPod in a different direction.
When I hit the button to open the case, it pops open. Super satisfying. Come on, you’ve got to love that. Then I open the AirPods case itself, so it is a bit of a two-step process to get to your AirPods.
IP68 Water Protection
This case adds an IP68 rating to your AirPods. If your AirPods are in this case and they accidentally go for a swim, this is the case that’s going to protect you against that, especially if you have everything closed and tightly sealed. There’s even a seal between the notification window and the case itself. When I open it up, I can still see the green light shining through, but there’s protection there. It’s not just a solid hole all the way through. On the other side, I can’t even see through, because there’s a complete rubber layer between the inside of the case and the outside.
No Adhesive Needed
What I love about this case is that it doesn’t require a whole bunch of adhesive stuff to stick together. I can just pull my AirPods right out and pop them back into the case anytime I need to. So this is a case I can use when I know I’m going to need the added protection, and leave it behind when I don’t. You just slide your AirPods in, pop it closed, and it’s good to go.
Carabiner and USB-C Access
There’s a carabiner on the side that you can remove if you don’t want it, and a panel that pops open at the bottom, with added protection, to get to the USB-C port. Of course, these AirPods have wireless charging, so it’s not often you’re going to need that, but the panel adds a layer of protection against dust.
Who It’s For
This case is definitely overkill for most people. But if you’ve ever lost AirPods due to water damage, this is going to be the case.
