What We Like

  • Looks kind of like Apple's TechWoven case but is substantially cheaper
  • The finish on the back looks good and feels good, with kind of an almost canvas feel that's very fine
  • Texture wraps around the sides, and there's a good amount of grip
  • Protection around the camera module is kind of minimal and nice and tight, so it's not bulky
  • Integrated buttons have nice tactile feedback, and the camera control button is super responsive
  • Fits the phone well and sits nice and flat

What Could Improve

  • I'd say the magnet can slide off with a little side-to-side pressure, though it held better than I thought when I shook it
  • Only a little bit of screen-down protection. With my screen protector on, there's not much additional there

Video Review

This is the magnetic case from MKEKE, and I bought this one myself. I decided to buy it because it looks kind of like Apple’s TechWoven case but is substantially cheaper, and it looks really nice.

It’s one of the 17 cases I tested for the iPhone 18 Pro Max. It fits the phone well, and it definitely feels good. For the price, I think this is a fantastic case.

Design and Finish

One of the things I just really like about it is the finish on the back of the case. It just looks good, and it feels good. It has kind of an almost canvas feel to it, but very fine. It has that TechWoven feel that I really like about Apple’s case.

It definitely looks good on the iPhone 18 Pro Max in black.

Grip and Feel in the Hand

It also has a good amount of grip on the side of the case. Because the case isn’t super bulky, it feels good in the hand, and that texture wraps around the outer sides, so it feels good to hold on to.

When you’re holding the phone, that almost canvas-like, fabric type of texture just feels really nice. I love the way that it feels.

Magnet Strength

I tested the magnet to see how well it holds. It snaps in, and it holds pretty well. I would say the magnet can slide off with a little bit of pressure, a little bit of side to side, but overall it’s holding pretty well.

Then I shook it to see if it would hold, and it held really well. Better than I thought. I don’t think I’d have any issues with the magnetic strength there.

Camera and Screen Protection

It has protection around the camera module, but it’s kind of minimal and nice and tight. So it’s not something that’s bulky, that takes up a bunch of space and adds to the back of the phone. Of course, it’s going to sit nice and flat.

It has a little bit of screen-down protection, but not much. I have a screen protector on my phone, so there’s not much additional there. If I didn’t have a screen protector on, the case would be giving it a little bit of a raised edge.

Buttons and Camera Control

The integrated buttons all work really well and have nice tactile feedback. The camera control button works well too. It’s super responsive, and no issues there.
