TAC Clear Core iPhone 18 Pro Max Case Review
As far as clear cases go, I'm really liking this one. It's super thin and simple with strong MagSafe magnets, though the edges feel a little sharp at first.

What We Like
- Super thin and simple, about as thin as you can go while still maintaining some structural integrity
- Pretty durable considering how thin it is
- Button cutouts feel really good and are easy to access
- MagSafe integrated into the case, with nice strong magnets that survive the shake test
- Looks really good as far as clear cases go
- Adds just a little bit of screen-down protection
What Could Improve
- The edges feel a little sharp at first. They won't cut you, and they'll probably wear in after a little bit of time
Out of the 17 cases I tested for the iPhone 18 Pro Max, two were from TAC, and this is their clear case. It’s a really nice case, super thin and simple. As far as clear cases go, I’m really liking this one.
Thin, Simple Design
Overall, this one looks really good for a clear case, and it’s about as thin as you can go while still maintaining some structural integrity. This case is actually pretty durable considering how thin it is.
Button Cutouts
This case does have cutouts for the buttons, but they feel really good. They’re easy to access, and there’s nothing too challenging there.
TAC definitely opted to go for a really thin clear case. Most of the time, if you’re going to integrate the buttons in a case, it’s going to require a little bit of additional thickness.
MagSafe
It’s got MagSafe integrated into the case, with nice strong magnets. When I shook the phone around, it wasn’t going anywhere. So it survives the shake test.
Edges and Screen-Down Protection
I feel like the edges are a little sharp initially. They’re not going to cut you or anything. I could just feel them while I was holding the phone. After a little bit of time, they’ll probably wear in and not feel as aggressive, but right now they do feel just a little bit sharp.
This case does add just a little bit of screen-down protection. Setting your phone face down, there will be a little bit of space between the case and the table. And of course, the case sits nice and flat.
