Video Review
The Torras Q3 Air 360 Pro is the Pro Edition of the Torras O-Stand 360 Air. If you liked the O-Stand 360 Air, then you’re going to absolutely love this one.
I still have the standard version I got last year, so I could compare the two side by side. That case is a year old, and I’d say it was on my 17 Pro Max about 80% of the year.
Pro vs. the Standard O-Stand 360 Air
The Pro is a little bit bulkier and a little bit squishier than the standard version. It has a silicone bumper all the way around, where last year’s case had a slightly slimmer version of that. Next to the standard case, the Pro adds a little bit of extra height to the phone and a little bit more protection.
This one also has more of a hard back, not full silicone, so there’s even more protection there. The corners and sides are more like that silicone, and the back has a different finish than the standard model. I really like that.
There’s orange that goes all the way around it, which gives it a nice pop. The side has a little bit different styling for the grip, too.
One of the things I also like about this case is that it doesn’t have words all over it. The O-Stand 360 Air just had random words all over the case, and I didn’t really like that. This one has minimal Torras branding and a little bit of text down in the corner, and that’s all. I love that they went a little more simple with this case.
Buttons and Camera Control
The buttons look a little bit nicer. On the O-Stand 360 Air, the buttons were kind of plasticky. The buttons on the Pro just look really nice and are super clean, and you get the same button styling on both sides of the phone.
The camera control button sticks out a little bit less as well, and I think it’s well integrated into the case.
The O-Stand 360 Ring and Magnets
This case has the O-Stand 360 ring that spins all around and is itself magnetic, so you can use it as a stand in different orientations. I tested the magnet strength too, and the magnets are really strong.
I expect the stand to hold up well over time. With last year’s case on my 17 Pro Max, I was always just fidgeting with the stand, rotating it around and spinning it around when I’d get bored. I put a lot of wear and tear on that stand, and it held up really well. I haven’t had any problems with it.
Corner Protection
What I like about this case is that it adds just a little bit more thickness for additional protection. And you’re going to have a ton of corner protection. The bumpers around the outer corners are big. If your phone is going to take a fall, it’s going to hit there, and those bumpers are going to absorb all of that.
My 17 Pro Max definitely took some falls in last year’s case, and the corners don’t even really get scratched up. You can tell there’s a little bit of wear and tear on that case, like it’s been used for a while, but it still looks great and hasn’t discolored much.
Price and Who It’s For
I really do like the look of this case. I’ll be honest, though, I kind of like the look of the Rugged version better.
The Pro version is a bit more expensive. But this should be a case that lasts you a long time. After you’ve had your phone for a year, your phone should still look good, where cheaper cases often start to show their wear. Last year’s standard model held up relatively well, and I expect that and even more out of the Pro.
If you liked the O-Stand 360 Air and you want even more protection, definitely check this one out.
Final Verdict
If you liked the Torras O-Stand 360 Air, you're going to absolutely love the Pro Edition. You get a ton of corner protection from the big bumpers around the outer corners, and it adds just a little more thickness for additional protection. The buttons look really nice and super clean, and the O-Stand 360 ring spins all around and works as a stand. It's a bit more expensive, and I'll be honest, I kind of like the look of the Rugged version better. I'd say my standard O-Stand 360 Air was on my 17 Pro Max about 80% of last year, and it held up relatively well. I expect that and even more out of the Pro.
