My everyday case for the iPhone 18 Pro Max. It just looks so good on the black iPhone, and the 360 magnetic ring works great as a stand.

What We Like

  • Nice gray color that matches the black iPhone 18 Pro Max really well
  • Bumper accents on the corners provide that extra protection
  • A bit of screen-down protection without adding a ton of bulk
  • The 360 magnetic ring works great as a stand in either direction
  • The case just feels good, with kind of a micro texture and a really nice grip on the side
  • Responsive camera control button for zoom, with no issues there

What Could Improve

  • Using the ring as a finger grip is not the most comfortable, but it's there and it works
  • Torras's O-Stand cases are definitely not one of the cheaper options

Video Review

The Torras Q3 Rugged is part of the Torras O-Stand series, and that series has really blown up over the last year. Torras has come up with a lot of different versions of these cases, and they’re all really cool. But I love the color of the Rugged.

I tested 17 cases for the iPhone 18 Pro Max, and this is one I’m going to keep daily driving, because it just looks so good.

Design and Feel

The Rugged matches the black iPhone really well. It’s a nice gray, with bumper accents on the corners that provide that extra protection. There’s minimal Torras branding, which I don’t mind.

The case just feels good. It has kind of a micro texture to it, and the grip on the side is really nice.

It has a bit of screen-down protection too, and the case doesn’t add a ton of bulk. I also have a screen protector on my phone right now.

The camera control button is responsive for zoom, and all of that works really well. No issues there.

The 360 Magnetic Stand

Then you’ve got the 360 magnetic ring. It works great as a stand in either direction, and I love using it for that.

A lot of times I’m also just getting a finger in there, because it’s easier to hold the phone that way when I’m watching some YouTube or whatever. It’s super useful for that. It’s not the most comfortable, but it’s there and it works.

The stand works really great. It’s the same system Torras used on my case from last year, and that stand has held up over time. It’s been working really well.

How Last Year’s O-Stand Case Held Up

Last year I used the O-Stand 360 Air on my iPhone 17 Pro Max, and it was one of the cases that got the best response from my 17 Pro Max case video. A ton of people bought it.

I’d say that case is a little floppy, but it’s held up really well. And I spent a lot of time just messing with it. I’d be spinning my phone around, just fidgeting with the thing.

I’ve dropped my phone, and it’s been in my backpack and my pocket. I have a little pouch I wear when I go running, and it’s bouncing around in there scratching up against other things. My phone has been well protected because of that case. I do have a screen protector on it as well, and that combo worked really well.

Torras’s O-Stand cases are definitely not one of the cheaper options. But a lot of cases just don’t hold up really well, and last year’s case did. And I know the Rugged series case will continue to work well too.

Why It’s My Everyday Case

I love the way this case looks on the 18 Pro Max. If you’ve been around for a while, you know I like the dark colors, the grays and the blacks, and the Rugged looks really good on the black iPhone.

My favorite case is kind of a tie, depending on what I’m doing. When I’m being more active and need a way to mount my phone, I go with a Rokform case, and when that comes off, the Torras Q3 Rugged goes back on. This is my everyday case, and these are the two cases that will carry me into next year with the iPhone 18 Pro Max.
